A 6-hour course on carrying a semi-automatic, magazine-fed pistol concealed for personal protection: legal considerations and mindset, concealment garment/holster selection, drawing from concealment, and close-distance accuracy under time pressure. This is an entry-level course and pairs well with Basic Pistol.

Required Gear

  • Semi-automatic, magazine-fed pistol in good working order (no revolvers)

Prepare for the Environment

Our range is outdoor and uncovered — training happens rain or shine (weather permitting for safety). Pack for the conditions on your training day:

  • Sunny/hot: hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, extra water
  • Rainy/wet: rain jacket, waterproof footwear with good traction, dry change of clothes
  • Snowy/icy/cold: insulated layers, gloves that allow trigger access, traction-appropriate footwear

Note: this course covers general legal principles, not legal advice. Confirm your carry permit requirements and reciprocity with an attorney or your state.
